House Cleaning Basics

What areas does Nebraska Elite Cleaning serve?

Nebraska Elite Cleaning serves the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas and many nearby communities. Our service area includes Omaha, Lincoln, Papillion, Bellevue, La Vista, Gretna, Elkhorn, Millard, Bennington, Springfield, Chalco, Boys Town, Carter Lake, Council Bluffs, Seward, Milford, Roca, Hickman, Firth, and surrounding areas. Service availability can vary by address and scheduling, so contact us if you are unsure whether your home or business is within our current coverage area.

Getting started is simple. Call, text, or submit a quote request and tell us about the property, the type of cleaning you need, the current condition, and any special requests. We ask a focused set of questions so we can understand the scope and provide a clear quote. Once you approve the service, we schedule the cleaning and confirm how our team will access the property.

Yes. Nebraska Elite Cleaning offers one-time cleanings without requiring recurring service. One-time service can be a good fit before an event, after a busy season, for a home that needs a reset, or whenever you want professional help without an ongoing schedule. If you later decide that you want weekly, biweekly, every-three-week, or every-four-week service, we can build a recurring plan around your needs.

Yes. We clean apartments for residents, property managers, and owners. Services can include one-time deep cleaning, recurring maintenance cleaning, move-in cleaning, move-out cleaning, and apartment turnover cleaning. The scope is customized based on the apartment's condition and what needs to be completed, including optional services such as cabinet interiors, oven interiors, refrigerator interiors, or interior window glass.

Yes. We provide cleaning for Airbnb and other short-term rental properties. The scope can be customized to include the cleaning itself, bed changes, laundry, or other turnover needs. Because every rental operates differently, we confirm the checklist, access instructions, turnaround time, and any laundry or supply responsibilities before service begins.

No. Many customers are not home while we clean. You can provide a door code, garage code, lockbox, hidden key, or another agreed access method. When possible, we like to complete a walkthrough with the customer after a first-time or detailed cleaning so we can confirm that the agreed work was completed and address questions immediately.

Customers commonly provide a garage code, door code, lockbox, hidden key, or another secure access arrangement. Tell us the access instructions before the appointment so the cleaning team can enter without delays. If access changes, contact us as soon as possible so we can update the instructions before the cleaner arrives.

We generally schedule a two-hour arrival window rather than an exact minute. Cleaning times can vary based on the homes scheduled earlier in the day, traffic, and the amount of work required at each property. The arrival window gives the team enough flexibility to complete each cleaning properly without rushing the previous customer.

Scheduling depends on current availability and the size of the job. Same-day cleaning may be possible, but it is not guaranteed. We try to preserve enough flexibility to help customers with urgent situations, events, move-outs, and last-minute needs. Planning ahead gives you the best selection of dates, especially for larger cleanings or holiday periods.

Cleaning time varies significantly based on the size of the property, its condition, the requested scope, and the number of cleaners assigned. A small, maintained home may take only a few hours, while a large deep cleaning, move-out, post-construction project, or severe-condition property can require many labor hours and multiple cleaners. We focus on completing the agreed scope properly rather than forcing every job into the same time estimate.

Yes. Nebraska Elite Cleaning provides the standard cleaning supplies and equipment needed for the agreed service. If your home has a special surface, product restriction, allergy, sensitivity, or preferred product, tell us before the appointment so we can determine the best approach.

We use standard professional household cleaning products intended for use in residential environments. When products are used properly, they are suitable for homes with children and pets. Tell us about any allergies, sensitivities, special surfaces, or product restrictions before service. Pets should still be kept away from active cleaning areas so the team can work safely and efficiently.

Yes. We are pet-friendly and regularly clean homes with dogs, cats, and other pets. Pet hair, extra buildup, and the number of animals can affect the amount of cleaning required, so please mention your pets during the quote process. This helps us build an accurate scope and give the team enough time to complete the job well.

Pets should be secured or kept away from the active cleaning areas if they may interfere with the work, become distressed by equipment, or create a safety concern. Some customers use a separate room, crate, yard, doggy daycare, or take the pet with them. Extremely friendly pets may not need to be confined as long as they do not interrupt or endanger the cleaners.

A small amount of pre-organization helps us spend more time cleaning. Pick up toys, clothing, loose items, paperwork, and excessive clutter from floors and surfaces when possible. Clear sinks and counters if you want those areas fully cleaned. We can provide basic tidying, but substantial organization, dishes, laundry, or sorting may require additional time and pricing.

For customers beginning recurring service, the first visit is generally a deep cleaning designed to bring the home to a maintainable condition. The team follows the scope discussed during booking, works through the accessible areas, and focuses on quality rather than rushing. We do not use ladders, move appliances, or move items weighing more than 40 pounds. Optional add-ons should be confirmed before or during the visit.

We price the cleaning based on the information provided during the quote process and may request photos when the condition is difficult to describe. If the team arrives and the property is materially different from what was discussed, we will contact you before completing additional work. Any necessary price adjustment is explained before we proceed so there are no surprise charges after the cleaning.

Most residential cleaning is priced at a flat rate, so the price does not change simply because the agreed work takes longer than expected. Quality and completion of the scope are what matter. If the property's actual condition or requested work is materially different from what was described, we will communicate any proposed scope or price change before proceeding.

Pricing, Quotes & Value

How much does house cleaning cost?

House cleaning prices vary based on the size and condition of the home, the type of cleaning, and the services requested. Smaller and simpler residential jobs may begin around $200, while larger deep cleanings, move-out cleanings, post-construction work, or severe-condition properties can cost substantially more. Many detailed cleanings fall between roughly $250 and $1,000 or more. The most accurate price comes from discussing the actual property and scope.

The biggest pricing factors include the size of the home, number of bathrooms, current condition, pets and pet hair, clutter, flooring types, buildup, cleaning frequency, and requested add-ons. The type of service also matters. A recurring maintenance visit is different from a first-time deep cleaning, move-out cleaning, post-construction cleaning, or heavy-condition cleanup.

Every home and every cleaning request is different. Two properties with the same square footage can require very different amounts of work because of bathrooms, pets, buildup, clutter, flooring, layout, and the customer's priorities. Customized pricing allows us to provide the right amount of labor for the actual scope instead of overcharging a simple job or underestimating a difficult one.

An accurate quote requires more than an address or square-footage number. We need to know the type of cleaning, property size, current condition, number of bathrooms, pets, desired add-ons, and any unusual circumstances. These questions protect both sides by creating a clearer scope before the team arrives.

Yes. Residential quotes are free and are usually completed over the phone. We ask specific questions about the property and what you want completed, then provide a price based on the information available. Commercial and janitorial opportunities may require an in-person walkthrough because the building, frequency, and scope can be more complex.

Most residential quotes are provided by phone after a short consultation. We ask about the home, condition, pets, service type, and add-ons. Photos may be requested for unusual, heavily soiled, cluttered, post-construction, or move-out situations. This process allows us to quote quickly without requiring an in-person estimate for every house.

Most standard residential cleaning is quoted at a flat rate based on the agreed scope. Certain projects, especially organization-heavy, hoarding-condition, or uncertain cleanup situations, may be priced hourly when the amount of work cannot be reasonably determined in advance. We explain the pricing method before the work begins.

Yes. More frequent recurring service generally receives a lower per-visit price because the home has less time to accumulate dust, buildup, pet hair, and other cleaning needs. Weekly service is normally priced lower per visit than biweekly service, and biweekly service is normally lower per visit than every-three-week or every-four-week service.

Prices can differ because companies use different scopes, staffing models, insurance, quality controls, products, scheduling systems, and service standards. A lower quote may not include the same tasks, time, reliability, communication, or satisfaction support. The best comparison is not only the headline price, but exactly what is included and what happens if the cleaner is unavailable or something is missed.

Our goal is to provide reliable, professional cleaning for the long term. Consistent quality, strong communication, dependable attendance, insurance, and capable cleaning professionals require a sustainable price. Competing only on the lowest number can reduce the time, talent, and support available for the job. We focus on fair pricing that allows us to keep serving customers properly.

Often, yes. If scheduling allows, we can add services such as baseboard scrubbing, dishes, laundry, organization, interior windows, or appliance interiors. Contact us as soon as you know what you want added. We will confirm the additional price and whether the team has enough time to complete it that day.

Deep Cleaning & Recurring Cleaning

What is a deep cleaning?

A deep cleaning is a more detailed first-time service designed to bring the home to a better, more maintainable condition. It allows additional time for buildup, dust, detail work, and areas that have not been professionally maintained. The exact scope is customized. A deep cleaning does not automatically include every possible add-on, such as oven interiors, refrigerator interiors, cabinet interiors, interior windows, dishes, laundry, or baseboard scrubbing.

A recurring maintenance cleaning is the ongoing service completed after the home has been brought to a maintainable condition. The team returns on an agreed schedule to keep up with dust, bathrooms, kitchens, floors, surfaces, trash, and the other tasks included in your scope. The goal is to prevent the home from returning to its original level of buildup.

A deep cleaning is the initial, more detailed reset. A maintenance cleaning is the recurring service that keeps the home in good condition afterward. The core areas may be similar, but a deep cleaning usually requires more time and attention because the team is addressing existing buildup. Maintenance visits are more efficient because the home is cleaned regularly.

Generally, yes. Beginning with a deep cleaning gives the team enough time to establish a clean baseline before moving into the shorter recurring maintenance schedule. This creates clearer expectations and allows future visits to focus on keeping the home in good condition rather than trying to correct months or years of buildup during a maintenance appointment.

A standard or recurring maintenance cleaning can include dusting reachable surfaces, cobweb removal, surface wiping, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, bed making, bathroom cleaning, kitchen surfaces, inside the microwave, exterior appliances, exterior cabinets, mirrors, sinks, faucets, tubs, showers, toilets, and basic tidying. The exact checklist depends on the service agreement and property.

Common add-ons that are not automatically included are dishes, laundry, substantial organization, inside the refrigerator, inside the oven, inside cabinets or cupboards, interior window glass, baseboard scrubbing, wall scrubbing, carpet extraction, stain removal, moving heavy furniture, and moving appliances. These services may be added when available and priced separately.

A deep cleaning includes the agreed core cleaning tasks with more time and detail devoted to buildup and neglected areas. This may include reachable surfaces, floors, kitchens, bathrooms, doors and trim, dusting, cobweb removal, baseboard dusting, exterior appliances and cabinets, and other items in the approved scope. Optional services remain separate unless specifically added to the quote.

The best frequency depends on the household, pets, schedule, budget, and desired condition. Weekly service is ideal for busy or high-use homes. Biweekly cleaning is a strong fit for many households and is often our most practical recommendation. Every three weeks offers a middle option, while every four weeks provides lighter maintenance. Less frequent service may allow more buildup between visits.

Weekly cleaning provides the highest level of consistency. Biweekly service is a strong balance of cleanliness, convenience, and cost for many busy households. Every-three-week service is a useful middle ground, and every-four-week service provides basic ongoing maintenance. We can help you choose based on pets, children, household traffic, budget, and how much cleaning you want to handle between visits.

Yes. Customers can move between weekly, biweekly, every-three-week, and every-four-week schedules based on availability. Because less frequent service allows more buildup, the per-visit price will generally change when the frequency changes. An occasional schedule adjustment may be handled differently from a permanent change.

You can request a schedule change or skip, but the price of the next visit may change if the gap causes the service frequency to change or creates additional buildup. Contact us as early as possible. Occasional changes can often be handled with reasonable flexibility, while repeated skips cannot be used to keep a higher-frequency discounted rate for lower-frequency service.

A pause usually creates additional buildup and changes the amount of work required. After several weeks, the next cleaning may be priced at the appropriate lower-frequency rate. After several months, the home may require another deep cleaning before recurring maintenance pricing resumes. We will review the situation and explain the scope before restarting service.

Keeping the same cleaner or team is the goal because continuity helps them learn your home and preferences. However, it cannot be guaranteed. Illness, time off, scheduling, growth, or team promotions can require a replacement. Nebraska Elite Cleaning has backup support so service does not depend entirely on one individual being available.

A home receiving consistent recurring service should not need frequent full deep cleanings. The maintenance visits are designed to keep the home from returning to its original condition. Some detail areas or optional add-ons may still be scheduled periodically, and a long pause in service may require another deep cleaning before maintenance service resumes.

Our goal is to remove the ongoing stress of cleaning and keep the home in a condition that feels easier to enjoy and maintain. We want customers to stop repeatedly starting over. Consistent service helps control dust, clutter, pet hair, bathroom buildup, kitchen messes, and other recurring problems so the household can spend more time on the people and priorities that matter.

Cleaning Scope, Add-Ons & Limitations

Do you clean inside microwaves?

Yes. Cleaning the inside of the microwave is generally included within the standard kitchen scope, along with the exterior of the microwave and other accessible appliance surfaces. Excessive buildup or unusual conditions should be mentioned during booking so we can allow appropriate time.

Yes, oven interior cleaning is available as an add-on. It is not automatically included in a standard, deep, move-in, or move-out cleaning unless it is specifically selected. Let us know during booking so the extra time and price can be included in the quote.

Yes, refrigerator interior cleaning is available as an add-on. It is not automatically included because some customers do not need it or prefer to handle it themselves. Food removal, heavy buildup, and the condition of the refrigerator can affect the time required.

Yes, cabinet and cupboard interiors can be added to the cleaning. This is common for move-in, move-out, post-construction, and turnover services. It is not automatically included in every package because many customers only want the exterior surfaces cleaned.

Interior window glass can be added to the service when requested. Window sills and accessible surrounding areas may be included within the agreed scope. We do not provide exterior window cleaning, remove windows, or open and disassemble windows as part of standard house cleaning.

Dishes are available as an add-on and are not automatically included in standard house cleaning. Customers should not leave recurring loads of dishes expecting them to be completed as part of the normal cleaning price. If you want dishes washed, loaded, unloaded, or otherwise handled, tell us in advance so we can add the necessary time and price.

Laundry is available as an add-on and is not part of the standard cleaning. Depending on the request, we may wash, dry, fold, or put away a load of laundry. Laundry requires additional time and may require the team to remain at the property while the machines run, so the exact request must be discussed and priced separately.

Baseboards are dusted as part of the applicable cleaning scope, but detailed baseboard scrubbing is an add-on. Heavy scuffs, grime, buildup, or staining can require significantly more time than routine dust removal. Mention baseboard scrubbing during the quote process if you want it included.

Bed making can be included in the cleaning. We can also change sheets when clean linens are left out and the request is confirmed. Large amounts of laundry, washing linens, drying, folding, or putting items away are separate add-on services.

We do not move furniture or other items weighing more than approximately 40 pounds. This protects the cleaners from injury and helps prevent damage to furniture, walls, and floors. If you want an area cleaned beneath a heavy item, move it before the appointment and leave the area accessible.

We do not move refrigerators, ovens, or other heavy appliances. Moving appliances can scratch floors, damage connections, create leaks, or cause other liability issues. If you want the area behind an appliance cleaned, the appliance must be safely moved before the team arrives.

No. Our cleaners work within safely reachable areas and do not bring ladders as part of standard cleaning service. High ledges, tall fixtures, vaulted areas, and other out-of-reach surfaces may not be included unless a special arrangement is discussed in advance.

We vacuum carpets as part of the applicable cleaning scope, but we are not a carpet extraction or specialty stain-removal company. Deep carpet stains, odors, and embedded soil generally require a professional carpet cleaner with specialized equipment and products.

Cleaning can remove dirt and buildup, but it cannot always reverse permanent staining, discoloration, wear, damaged grout, hard-water etching, aged surfaces, or material damage. We will do the best we reasonably can and communicate when a condition cannot be fully corrected during the appointment. Some buildup may improve through repeated maintenance, while permanent damage may require restoration or replacement.

Use normal care and secure cash, medications, jewelry, irreplaceable items, and extremely delicate belongings before the appointment. This is not because we expect a problem; it simply reduces risk while surfaces are being dusted, wiped, and moved around. Point out any item that requires special handling or should not be touched.

Basic tidying may be included, but significant organization, sorting, decision-making, or decluttering is a separate service. Organization can require substantial additional time, especially when the customer must decide what to keep, discard, donate, or relocate. We can customize the scope and may price the work hourly when the amount of time is uncertain.

Yes. Cobweb removal from safely reachable areas is generally included within the applicable cleaning scope. High ceilings, tall stairwells, vaulted areas, and locations requiring ladders may not be accessible during standard service.

Move-In, Move-Out & Specialty Cleaning

Do you offer move-in and move-out cleaning?

Yes. We provide move-in and move-out cleaning for homes, apartments, tenants, homeowners, property managers, and real estate professionals. The service is customized because every property and handoff requirement is different. Optional items such as refrigerator interiors, oven interiors, cabinet interiors, and interior windows should be confirmed when the quote is prepared.

A move-out cleaning can include floors, bathrooms, kitchens, accessible surfaces, dusting, cabinet exteriors, appliance exteriors, microwave interiors, trash, and other agreed tasks. Cabinet interiors, refrigerator interiors, oven interiors, interior window glass, heavy debris, and specialty work are added only when requested. We build the scope around the property and the customer's priorities.

Post-construction cleaning can include fine dust removal, floors, surfaces, cabinet interiors and exteriors, stickers, light debris, bathrooms, kitchens, and other agreed areas. Interior windows and multiple cleaning phases can be added when needed. Large debris removal, lifts, high-access work, or unusual construction conditions may require separate pricing and planning.

Yes. We help with heavily cluttered, severe-condition, and hoarding-related properties. These projects require a customized plan because the work may involve cleaning, organization, sorting, trash removal, and coordination with the customer. We prefer flat-rate pricing when photos and information make the scope clear, but hourly pricing may be used when the amount of work or decision-making cannot be predicted.

Trash removal can be included when it is part of the approved scope. The price depends on the amount, weight, disposal requirements, and whether a dumpster or additional hauling is needed. We clarify what can be discarded and who is authorized to make those decisions before removal begins.

Yes. Nebraska Elite Cleaning provides customized commercial and janitorial service for offices, schools, churches, construction companies, common areas, and other facilities. A typical scope may include restrooms, break rooms, kitchens, offices, trash, dusting, floors, and high-use areas. Commercial pricing is based on the building, frequency, priorities, and required tasks.

Commercial cleaning can be scheduled daily, several times per week, weekly, every other week, monthly, every six weeks, or on another customized schedule. The right frequency depends on employee count, public traffic, restrooms, food areas, building size, and the client's expectations.

Yes. We can provide cleaning before or after holidays, graduation parties, birthdays, weddings, family visits, and other events. Schedule as early as possible during busy seasons. Same-day or last-minute availability may be possible, but it cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. Cleaning gift cards can be a practical gift for new parents, busy families, older relatives, homeowners preparing for an event, or anyone who would benefit from time and stress relief. Contact us to discuss the desired amount or service.

Nebraska Elite Cleaning has partnered with Cleaning for a Reason to periodically provide complimentary cleaning support to people undergoing cancer treatment. Availability and eligibility are handled through the program's process. We are proud to use our cleaning services to support people who need practical help during a difficult period.

Scheduling, Policies & Satisfaction

What if I need to reschedule my cleaning?

Contact us as early as possible if your schedule changes. We prefer at least 48 hours' notice so we can adjust routes and offer the time to another customer. Recurring pricing may change when a reschedule creates a longer gap between visits and additional buildup.

Cancellation terms are listed in our current Terms and Conditions. We generally request at least 48 hours' notice. Same-day cancellations, denied access, or appointments canceled after a cleaner has been dispatched may be subject to a charge up to the full scheduled price. Contact us as soon as possible; we use reasonable judgment while protecting the time reserved for the team.

We will attempt to reach you by phone, text, or email and use the access instructions on file. If we cannot enter after the team has arrived, the appointment may be treated as a same-day cancellation or lockout under the Terms and Conditions. Confirm codes, keys, and access instructions before the service window.

Report any cleaning concern as soon as possible, preferably within 24 hours. We may ask for photos so we can clearly identify the missed area. When the concern falls within the agreed scope, we will arrange a return visit to correct the specific area at no additional cleaning charge. The return visit is for the reported concern, not a complete second cleaning of the property.

Notify us immediately if you believe something was damaged during service. Provide photos and relevant details so we can review what happened and respond quickly. Nebraska Elite Cleaning carries insurance and is committed to handling legitimate concerns fairly. Existing damage, wear, unstable items, and pre-existing conditions should be identified before cleaning whenever possible.

Residential services are generally paid by credit or debit card. Commercial customers may pay by card or check depending on the account arrangement. Payment terms and authorization requirements are confirmed before service.

Tipping is optional and never required. We work to compensate our cleaners fairly. If you believe the team did an exceptional job and want to provide a tip, it is appreciated, but there is no obligation.

Call or text us promptly and explain the concern. Photos are helpful because they show the exact area and allow us to prepare the cleaner for the return visit. Concerns should be reported quickly because normal household use, dust movement, HVAC systems, pets, and other activity can change the condition of the home after the appointment.

Contact us as soon as you remember. If the team has enough time, we may be able to add the service during the same visit after confirming the price. Items such as cabinet interiors, oven interiors, refrigerator interiors, windows, dishes, laundry, organization, or baseboard scrubbing are not completed unless they are included in the approved scope.

Usually, yes, if you contact us early enough. Adding or removing work may change the price, schedule length, or number of cleaners assigned. Last-minute changes are subject to availability, and work already completed or labor already reserved cannot always be removed from the price.

Why Choose Nebraska Elite Cleaning?

Why should I hire Nebraska Elite Cleaning instead of another cleaning company?

Nebraska Elite Cleaning is built around a commitment to quality, communication, reliability, and solving customers' problems. We handle cleaning needs ranging from recurring homes and apartments to move-outs, post-construction projects, commercial facilities, and severe-condition properties. Our goal is to make the process simple, complete the agreed work professionally, and remain available when questions or concerns arise.

We combine professional systems with a human approach. The company has scheduling, communication, backup coverage, insurance, quality support, and clear service scopes, while still working with customers whose needs and timelines do not fit into one rigid package. We aim to prevent details from being forgotten and to respond quickly when something needs attention.

A professional company provides structure beyond the person performing the cleaning. If one cleaner is sick, injured, unavailable, or leaves the industry, a company can provide backup support. Customers also receive centralized scheduling, communication, payment processing, insurance, quality follow-up, and a defined process for correcting issues. The goal is dependable service without making the customer manage every operational detail.

Choosing only by the lowest price can create problems if the scope, reliability, insurance, communication, or quality support is unclear. A better comparison is whether the provider can consistently show up, complete the required work, communicate changes, protect the property, and correct legitimate concerns. The cheapest initial quote is not always the lowest-friction or best-value experience.

Quality is the lifeblood of our service. We want to leave every property substantially better than we found it, complete the agreed scope with strong attention to detail, and communicate honestly about limitations. Cleaning is performed by people, not robots, so the standard also includes accountability: if we legitimately miss something, we want to know quickly and make it right.

A successful cleaning begins with a clear conversation and ends with the customer's problem solved. The team arrives within the scheduled window, completes the agreed work, communicates any limitations, and leaves the property cleaner and easier to enjoy. The customer saves time, physical effort, and stress, while the cleaners receive meaningful work and the opportunity to build stable careers.

Life and homes do not fit into one box. Customers have different priorities, budgets, property conditions, pets, schedules, and desired results. A customized quote allows someone to choose the services that matter most instead of paying for work they do not need. It also gives the cleaning team a clearer plan and enough time to perform the approved scope properly.

Bundling every possible task into every cleaning would raise the price for customers who do not need those services. Add-ons allow you to choose where you want extra help and keep the core service more flexible. Oven interiors, refrigerator interiors, cabinet interiors, interior windows, dishes, laundry, organization, and baseboard scrubbing can be selected when they provide value to you.

Founder Skyler Sullivan spent years in Division I college basketball, where preparation, accountability, leadership, and constant improvement were part of everyday work. After returning to Nebraska, he founded Nebraska Elite Cleaning in 2022 to build an organization of his own and solve practical problems for homeowners and businesses. The company has grown across the Omaha and Lincoln metro areas while continuing to improve its people, systems, and service.

Cleaning is a people and communication business as much as it is a technical service. Clear expectations, dependable scheduling, good training, realistic scopes, and fast communication prevent many problems. We have also learned that every property and customer is different. The best results come from understanding the actual need, giving the team enough time, and addressing concerns directly rather than avoiding them.

Control clutter before it controls the space. When floors, counters, tables, and sinks remain reasonably clear, routine cleaning becomes faster and more effective. Once the home reaches a good baseline, consistent maintenance is easier than repeatedly allowing heavy buildup and starting over. Professional recurring service can help protect that routine when your time is limited.

Customers often value the simplicity of the process: one conversation to explain the need, a clear quote, professional scheduling, convenient access options, and a clean property at the end. Our goal is to reduce friction so the customer does not have to coordinate multiple people, manage supplies, or wonder whether help will arrive.
